Great game on Wednesday - I have a feeling this game will somehow be a let-down - the following from Covers.com:


The under is 3-1 in the past four meetings.
NJ is 9-3-1 ATS after a loss on a day of rest.
NJ is 3-1 ATS in its last four road games.
Sens are 25-11 ATS at home following a win.
OTT is 6-3 ATS in the past nine meetings.
OTT is 15-6 ATS in its last 21 overall.

These, of course, are only meaningless "stats" in a game of this sort, and the game is played on the ice...and the stats don't seem to favor either team...

My gut says that Ottawa probably has shot their wad, emotionally speaking, coming back from being down 3 games to 1. It will be hard, even at home, to maintain that level of intensity...NJ was probably lucky to win game 3 in OT, and Ottawa was probably lucky to win game 6 in OT, both at NJ...

The wild card here, IMO, is the play of Marty Broddeur...on Wednesday, a lot of shots clanged of the posts and cross bar for both teams...and total scores could have easily gone over the 4.5 goals...
