it didn't take long to piss away all my profits from the beginning of the tournament. playing all 8 games on sunday was, uh, pretty retarded. but i knew that before i did it. which probably makes it even dumber. oh well, let's just keep regressing... playing all 4 tonight.
louisville (-9) 2 units. arizona was lucky to match up with two teams who simply couldn't match their athleticism. that's not the case tonight. they will try to run with louisville tonight, but that falls right into the cards' hands. now, louisville will go through stretches like they always do where they lose focus, start launching 3 pointers, and let the other team back in the game. oh, and they are not good free throw shooters. but i'm counting on them to have a big enough lead that neither will be a factor tonight.
kansas (+1) 1 unit. the young jayhawks have come a long way since getting beat down at michigan state earlier this year. i think talent beats experience tonight.
north carolina (-8.5) 2 units. gonzaga has a glaring weakness - defense. and particularly interior defense. akron and western kentucky were hardly the right teams to exploit that weakness. but here comes carolina, with hansbrough and thompson. obviously the health of lawson is worrisome. if they do get out to a lead, will they rest him for sunday? but i expect a lot of points scored tonight, and carolina to just pull away.
oklahoma (pk) 1 unit. yeah, i've been going against 'cuse pretty much all year. my biggest concern is how will the sooners attack the zone? who will they put at the free throw line? blake? dump it into him and let him take on 5 defenders? or taylor, and ask him to pass to the open guys? are these guys really named blake and taylor? was mom hoping for a couple accountants? anyways... this zone could definitely shut down blake griffin, and i don't think any of their shooters can step up and hit enough perimeter shots to make the zone extend out. on the other hand... i simply don't like syracuse. so this is probably a very bad matchup for the sooners, but i'm not terribly bright.
