Hudson Valley area.....NY
Mass -2.5 over Bonnies **
Think this could be the best A-10 gd tandem vs each other....Mobsly and Adams vs Clark and Pipken...a slight edge to Bonnies but Umass plays better defense....Bonnies gave up 106 pts to Canisius the other day...that means the Minutemen could score 212 pts today....if Bonnies played some D this team could be tough...but they don't..

Northwestern +2 over Mich st **
Its been ages since NW beat the spartans..they looked tired in their last game.. NW has Linsdsey and Law.. and I love McIntosh with the ball on top...this could be the year...with so many Spartans out..

Lasalle +9.5 over Dayton *
Flyers scare me but Expos have a Pookie and a Cuse transfer named BJ who is playing lites out...think they can keep this close.. Cooke comes back tonite though...

Texas Tech +4.5 over Iowa St **
I'm drinking the Kool aid with their 11 wins even if its against a lot of weak teams...love the Gray kid..

Baylor -5.5 over OU ******
Think the Bears win this by double d's even on the rd...this team is playing on all cylinders...forget their offense...which can score in a half court offense or transition...they avg almost 80 pts a game...but its defense is outstanding....they only give up 58 pts..and these guys played Mich St,XU,Oregon and louie-ville...if the NCAA today would have to give out the MVP of college basketball it would be 6'10 Motley...there are guys scoring more then him, rebounding more,etc..but he is an impact player...how to keep him scoring and off the bds...hard to do and OU defense is just avg...and cannot rebound...Freeman can score and throw in the tiny Miami transfer Lecomte...when Baylor plays that zone that have 7'0 Acuil...think OU is in real trouble tonite..Woodward is back but I think but they lack a back court and front court to deal with Motley and co..

Dukies +5.5 over Fordham **
What is wring with the Rams..lose 6 in a row..win their last game vs a weak team...Dukies have won a few in a row...think Rams can win this but just by a few...nobody will be at Rose Hill tonite...x-mas vacation,no school,no support..

St Joes -4 over g.Wash **
Newkirk and kimble are solid gds....if Demery is back look out..not sure how rusty he is but think even if he is rusty he's the best player out there on the court...looking for update on status..

Kansas St -8.5 over Texas ****
Texas has no pt gd and cannot shoot....everyone knows this...they lost at home to Kent st and shot 2-18 from the 3...and that's in their gym....the big kid Allen is good...they hustle and play d but thats not enough in Manhattan...KSU plays tough defense vs a weak off. team...think this is a double d win at home..cats have played some tough teams and beat BC,prov,Wash St...Texas other then playing good in a Mich St loss has looked lost out there on the court...

Kansas 6.5 over TCU ***
TCU is 11-1....but tonite see another 11-1 that is much better...Jackson is playing in the ozone..mason is running a good pt..they avg 86 pts a game..give up 67 pts on defense...TCU hasn't beaten anyone..there one solid team they played was Smoo and they lost by 4...beating the Bradleys is a little different then the Kansas's..TCU has a good team but not in the same class despite playing in Fort Worth...plus Kansas will have 2,000-3,000 in the stands cheering their Jayhawks..

Fairfield +6.5 over Penn **
Think the Stags can keep this close.. Nelson can shoot, and Sidibe is rebounding...even though stags have lost 3 or 4 quacks don't scare me...

yest went
4-4 -1*

Mags..I do consider home court when capping....team scoring margin at home compared to on the rd...the norm is usually 3-4 pts to the home team....but there are so many variables....night games,to day games,National TV games, rival teams, revenge from the past, distance, time zones, long bus rides,etc...so many...many schools really don't have home court advantages...Marist doesn't really, few fans ,very little noise distractions..North texas..the same and the seats are far away from the court...Tex St the same..200-300 fans, and the seats are not right on the court...Texas at Erwin center...stadium type...seats are back...the one advantage is they get to practice and shoot on the court....

Best play Baylor...big

Thanks Box....it was weird watching the Jonnies play on that small court - expected MSG... but I am not as plugged in as I need to be yet - I should have known they were playing at LC court....

Thanks for your analysis - it is very helpful!

Great call on the bears...I have only seen them play twice this year but they have some absolute freak athletes on that squad...very under rated, but won't be for long
