Iona -2 over Monmouth ****
This is a strange line...seems way off.. I capped it at Iona -5-8 even though they are on the road..but Iona is in 1st place in the MAAC..they have won 4 in a row..just blew out a decent Rider team that thought they could be one of the elite teams in the conf..they avg almost 80 pts a game with their uptempo quick offense...and they actually are playing some defense...only giving up 74 points a game...and they drew there 3rd offensive foul on defense so far at mid-season...last yr in 30 games I think they drew 2...so Timmy NoCluess is making an attempt to spend 20 minutes in practice on defense instead of the usual 5 minutes this year...Iona has McGill who is there only top player...but Casimer was high scorer vs Ride.. Much the game before...Lewis the game before that..last yr or 2 years ago Casimer scored 35 points in a game..the next two games he had 2 and 3 points...this team totally baffles me..but in the middle they have a solid rebounder and post player in Edi you...avg 7 bds a game..
Monmouth is in a tail spin...have lost 4 of last 5...Canisius just blew them away 94-79...Seaborn is there stud.. Tighman last yrs 6th man of the MAAC is scoring..Quinn and Pillari also..but they turn the ball over a lot...if both teams bring their A tonite Iona wins by double digits...they won't be able to keep up with Iona's offense..

Manhattan +1.5 over Canisius **
Griffs have won last 3 vs Manhattan...they can't rebound at all but neither can the jaspers...Crumpton and Reese are avg 20 pts each in conference...other then beating Quinn on the road they are 2-7 overall and 2-5 ats... Grifs have better talent over all but think they are going to have problems tonite.. Jaspers have Williams one of the top MAAC players...he was lost for the season last yr...despite now leading them in scoring avg 14 pts a game..he started out the season scoring 8,5,8 and 4...but his last 5 games is 21,10,14,20 and 20...he is back..and he didn't play in any pf those 3 losses to the Griffs...Turner and walker are solid gds..Waterman in the middle plays great one nite and is MIAthe next..Crawford who played HS ball in my hometown in NY is also hot and cold...but the a Paulicapp has been great ..he has been given more playing time in last 2 games and scored 13 and 14 pts...I like the home team underdog here in the Bronx tonite.

Buffalo -3 over W Mich **
Tough game for the Bulls...WM has a great player in Wilder but Bulls have to much..Perkins had 26 pts last game..another different player was high scorer...think i last 4 games they have had a dif high scorer..Bulls have CJ

Davidson -5.5 over Bonnies **
Hate going against them but Cats are on a streak and Bonnies going the other way...someone woke up the cats...Gudmunssssson is playing awesome..and Alridge is a force...watched him vs Fordham the other nite...wow..

BRown +3 over Yale **

last nite the Tex St-UL Monroe ending was a killer for those that had Texas St -6...I am sitting in row one 4 feet from the floor...Tx St was up 10-12 with a few minutes left..then UL scored and got back in the game..but the ending was unreal...Texas St up 4 with 6 seconds and the ball..UL fouls on purpose ...Tex shooting 2 FT's with 2.1 seconds.. make one you push, make 2 you win and cover.. but when UL fouled the Tex St player didn't like how hard he reached in and took a swing of the UL player and hit him right in the face...refs didn't see it.so they are going over to take the FT's..the coach of UL didn't see it either but his asst did..so now both coaches are out there..the teams are lined up for the FT's...finally the UL coach convinces the refs to look at the monitor...not sure how many people at the game actually saw the slap..The UL player is still holding his face...now I know he slapped him because I think I felt the wind of the slap{ just kidding} well the refs see the slap and give Tx St a " contact Technical Foul " so Tex gets its 2 FT's..of course he misses both...then UL gets its 2 FT's..he makes the 1st misses the 2nd on purpose and a fight for he rebound, buzzer goes off Tex St wins but loses the cover...wow.. think I got that right... thank god I only had 1 * on Texas -6..they are now 0-4 ats at home..I only played them so I could cheer for them..

I agree Jas...the pro's are almost unwatchable ...in the old days the NBA had only one big cry baby... Rick Barry..he cried on every whistle...today in the NBA almost everybody cries..but the game has changed so much too
..everyone is bigger,faster,etc..officiating is so different..you could call a foul on almost every play...like the NFL Offensive lineman...
Kasper the Tx coach is a tough cookie...he might do something with that kid...you have the game won... its your ball with 5 seconds left...the other team is going to foul on the in bounds...the kid catches the ball...gets a dribble and the UL reaches in and fouls it wasn;t flagrant...they he hits the player with a slap..not an elbow...crazy...and nobody saw it...except me,the asst coach and the 2 players involved...lol

In the 2nd half one of the Tx St player set a moving screen...Kapser took him out, grabbed him by the arm and said that is you 10th moving pick this year...take a seat.."

Box.....you are so right about Casimir. I got to see him play a lot in high school. He has been so inconsistent this year. Up and down. Saw the Gaels host Yale down in New Rochelle last month, and Casimir did absolutely nothing. Iona still won easily, as Yale was down a couple starters in that one.
Monmouth has been snakebitten this year; they lost a lot of heartbreakers.
I couldn't pull the trigger on this game, although I would slightly lean Iona. I like your play here, but I'm not touching it.
Had to go against you for a small 1-unit play on the Griffs. I think this a is a good team, and I see them pulling it out tonight at Draddy.
I'm also on Brown for one unit. Yale has had the bad luck with injuries, and off-the-court stuff since making it to the 2nd round of the tourney a few years ago.
Can't wait until the first "full" weekend of Ivy play next weekend.

Great call on Iona, Box. I knew I should have tailed you. Damn.
To answer your question, I saw Casimir play a lot when he was at Trinity Catholic in Stamford, playing in the FCIAC.
