Wow... what a start to the tourney. Was soooooooooo tempted to increase my units this afternoon, but stayed within my system. Had played NEW MEX +6 which I almost pulled out, and lost ST MARY's straight and at HT, so that game hurt. Still, I'm doing fine and hope it continues tonite. Here's the recap:

OVERALL: 19-6 +30.7 Units
QUAD PLAYS 1-0 +4.0 Units
TRIPLE PLAYS 5-1 +11.7 Units
DOUBLE PLAYS 13-5 +15.0 Units

Not that I know of.... I'm not using any past trends at all. Just going by the numbers and watching the flow of the games. Early on it's wise for coaches to rest starters because it's a very tiring tourney, so that is the biggest reason for the plays. Plus, I take into consideration what side or total a few of the excellent cappers here like before tipoff and I lean in that direction at time. Other than that, I've just been luckier than Robert Blake lately!

Numbers play.... with the low scoring 1H we now get to go over 111 for the game which I can see happening fairly easily. I also think SYR realizes they slept through the FH and come out and take care of business in 2H of this one. Too many teams ALMOST lost today and I think Coach Jim will stress that in the lockerroom.

SYR only shot 42%, VERMONT 25% and we only got 7 pts from the line. That should change also.

The CARDS were upset at over being a 4 seed and supposedly were gonna send a message. However, the RAJUN CAJUNS never got that message as they came to play! :scared PITINO has to dumping bricks about now and I'm sure he'll have his team inspired to play LOUIVILLE ball in 2H of this one.

This game is so tight in almost every category and logic would say to take the points. However, we got intangibles in PITINO and the better talent in LOUISVILLE and I think that prevails. One half doesn't make a game, ask VILLANOVE, UAB, etc...
