St. Louis Writeup

Washington is 24-23 on the year, while the Cardinals are 30-16, and 15-9 at home. Washington is really struggling, losing their last 3 games, and all were too the lowly Reds, including a 12-3 Blowout on Wednesday. Armas had a bad outing last time out against the BlueJays, giving up 7 runs, and 10 hits. Armas is 1-2 with a 5.49 ERA on the year, and 0-1 with a 4.70 ERA against the Cardinals. The Cardinals send Morris to the mound to seek his fifth win of the Season. Morris is 4-0 with a 3.50 ERA on the year. Matt pitched 7 innings last outing against the Royals, walking NONE, and getting the win. Morris hasn't lost since September 30th of last year, and has struck out 36, while walking just 9 this season. The Cardinals have won 3 straight, and 8 of their last 11. Look for a Red Bird win tonight!

Dodgers Writeup

The Dodgers are 24-22 on the year, and 12-11 on the road. Arizona is 28-20 on the year, and 15-10 at home. The Dodgers send Lowe to the mound tonight, with a record of 4-4, and an ERA of just 3.02, and won 3 straight decisions. Lowe's last start was on 5/22 vs. the Angels, as Lowe pitched 7 Innings, and Allowed just 2 runs, and throwing only 14 balls in the win. The Dodgers hit the ball well against the Giants last night, getting a 6-4 victory, as Antonio Perez went 4-4, and Ricky Ledee hit a 2 run single to break the 4-4 tie in the ninth. Meanwhile, Arizona had a bad outing last night against the Padres, getting skunked 10-0. The Diamandbacks managed just two hits against Peavy, as the Padres beat Arizona 2 out of 3. We look for Lowe to shut down the DBacks, and get the win tonight..

Minnesota Under Writeup

Johan Santana, last years American League CY Young winner goes to Toronto tonight as the Twins start a 3 game series in Toronto. Santana is 5-2 on the year with an ERA of 3.82. He had a nice outing against the Brewers last time out, giving up just 2 runs, and striking out 11 in 7 Innings. A key stat for Santana is he hasn't lost a road game in nearly a year. (May 29, 2004) at KC. Since then, Santana is 13-0 with an ERA of 1.90 in Road contests. That is truly amazing, and I guess losing to KC will do that for you. Meanwhile, pitching for the BlueJays is Josh Towers. Towers is 5-2 with an ERA of 3.76. Towers has pitched well all season for the BlueJays, winning four of his last five starts. Towers is 22-12 in 2+ seasons with the BlueJays. Look for this to be a pitching dual all game!!
