will update record as soon as i get a chance to check the archives for my last post, lol. been awhile. in the neighborhood of 8 or 9 gms above .500 with about a 10 unit gain. went with these for friday:
1 unit florida/philly under 7.5
really dont think this one will even threaten the total. two of the best young pitchers in baseball are throwing tonight and i dont see more than a 3-2 game one way or the other. myers is qiuetly asserting himself as the ace of the philly staff, and although the sample size is small, his numbers vs florida have been impressive. phillies havent seen willis yet so it should take them a time or two through to adjust.
1 unit cleveland (+120) over minnesota
for whatever reason, westbrook has a knack for pitching extremely well vs the upper echelon teams and then giving up a lot of runs vs the mediocre teams. he pitched well vs big name teams last year and he seems to be following that course again this year (allowed 1 run in spot start vs white sox.... allowed one run in a spot start vs yanks last sunday). westbrook has also fared well vs twins this year in a handful of appearances out of the pen (0 earned runs in a total of 7 or 8 innings) ...twins/indians rivalry has a lot of bad blood (baez/hunter.... rogers/bradley etc) no love lost between these two teams even though the indians blow this year. but tribe should get this series opener tonight.
