virginia cavaliers over 153.5

not expecting virginia to have a whole lot of defensive intensity after the quick turnaround from the northwestern game on wednesday. cavaliers were forced to play northwestern's princeton offense two nights ago (48-44), so i think theyre really gonna look to get out and play their style of up-and-down basketball. auburn should be acquiescent, as they are shooting lots of threes this year (making 11/game) and putting up some points. neither team particularly proficient from the line, but pace should allow it to crack 153.5 even w/some masonry. thinkin this one lands around 162-164.

Agrree with you GMan. I screwed and played Va over last outing against NW without realizing (did not do my homework) the NW tempo. Auburn will run with them so should be close enough for starter to hang the entire game. I too worry about the FT% but will take the over.

Thanks for your insights.

Good luck G!!!! :thumb:

Brown scored the first eight points of the game for Virginia, which used a stifling defense to hold its fifth straight opponent to 60 points or fewer.

Auburn has not been held below 79 points this season

Something's gotta give!!!!!

I 100% agree G-Man.
This should go over with 3 or 4 minutes left in the game.Auburn is a 1st guy open shoot it team.
Virginia should run them out of the gym.
I like Virginia 88-78.
No play on the side, but I see Virginia laying it to them by 18+ if the Auburn 3's are not falling.

virginia cavaliers 2nd half over 80.5

fundamentally, might not be the smartest play. but really think the 2h has even more points. they got 82 in the 1h and nobody got to the foul line. virginia has no choice but to keep this tempo brisk, and i dont see auburn slowing down.
