record yoyos back to .500 at 19-19-1 after 2-1 wednesday; no plays thursday. two popular plays tonight along with one other:

cincy -1: gonna play a hunch and go ahead on the bearcats. like the preparation angle with with catholic school xavier in finals thus limiting practice as opposed to cincy out of school and staying at mariott next to xavier campus. appears that for a change cincy really has a chance to focus for this big intercity game and that could make for the edge in this tight matchup. enough of an angle me anyway.

texas tech -3-: compag center in houston not exactly a neutral court but enought to adjust my line tech -13. knight's teams usually don't exactly grow rust during a layoff so expect the general to have the red raiders ready to go tonight. new players tonight for both teams so a little bit of unknown here but think storozynski will mean more to tech than gaines will to houston, especially with the extra prep time. houston's four wins don't impress me - div ii chaminade, rice, n tex and tex southern (average massey rating 262). of course i'm a knight fan so i could be wrong.

monmouth -2-: kind of an off-the-wall play as i don't have a lot of in-depth knowledge of either team. do know st. peters rebuilding and looks to be everyone's doormat at 1-8. monmouth returning eight lettermen and four starters from last years ncaa tourney team, has a quality win over vandy and losses to notre dame in hawaii, at seton hall, at princeton and at maryland. actually played the terps credibly for at least a half. peacocks don't seem likely to get the win here so 2- not an unreasonable lay. my line has it monmouth -11.

gonna pass the two other popular plays on pepperdine and hawaii. pep and ducks both appear too inconsistent for my tastes and don't get a good feeling with everyone seemingly touting pep+ and the line moving the other way. hawaii line looks about right to me.

gl everyone.
