hit the big play on tulsa. but fu/ckin san diego absolutely fuc/ked up the day. toreros choke job allows me to drop those two previous F-bombs in the prior sentence. that loss was ridiculous. still glad to get tulsa home safely though.

for friday, played these, and will edit-in writeups when i get the chance:

1 unit.....butler (+8) over miss state
1 unit.....utah (+4.5) over oregon
1 unit.....wagner (+20.5) over pittsburgh
1 unit.....florida (-19.5) over sammy h.

(ADDED) 1 more unit to utah at (+5) over oregon (2u total)

(ADDED) 1 unit....utah (+4.5) 2h

got 3 units total on utah all all different kinds of lines...but as long as they win, makes no difference to me

Boy gman, you're really high on Tulsa. If memory serves me right, you've played them often this season. Gotta like those points. Looks good. Backed off gambling for a while but of course I'm playing office pools. I'll chime in every now and then.

very quick capsule write-ups. not a whole lot of time, so hopefully brevity will suffice with these writeups below:

butler....just feel that the bulldogs are coming into an undervalued/overvalued situation. im not convinced msu is 8 points better than butler. but msu had a great showing in their conference tourney, whereas butler got their azz whooped by uwm on national tv in the title game. i dont see butler losing by DD in back to back games. and like tulsa, butler shoots the 3 extremely well so its tough to blow them out

wagner....simply playing percentages...really nothing more than that...wagner is a scoring juggernaut, and that should keep them in the game in garbage time...pitt is obviously way more physical, and shoud dominate the game, but the panthers arent overly explosive...panthers had trouble with a DD spread in the opening round last year...i just think its tough for a team like pitt to blow out a team averaging 76 pts a game...i know that sounds like an archaic way of capping- but i dont think pitt will score enough to cover the amount of pts theyll let up to wagner. we'll see.

florida.....gators coming in slumping. sammie should provide the perfect elixir. laying 20 points with a #2 seed thats playing like sh1t probably doesnt make much sense, thus- we'll see if the a$$-backwards approach of capping works in this game. gators fully capable of a rout- and they could get it here.

utah.....the more i look at this one the more i like it. you look at utah and you have the epitome of vanilla, and the epitome of disciplined. you look at the ducks, you have a ton of flash and style, but its 5 guys running around in semi-organized chaos. i just dont think oregon is anywhere near disciplined enough to play utahs half court style. utes just make you play ugly. sure they dont score a lot, but i can just envision now how many holes majerus will expose in that sieve of an oregon defense. utes should get a ton of backdoors and easy layups. clearly, utes have to establish their tempo and not let the game get into the 70's or anywhere near the 80's. majerus is solid in the tourney- im sure he likes this role of underdog.

sec guru:

yes, britton johnsen is out for this game, which means oregon wins by at least 17 or 18 points. (if you catch my drift) no way can the utes win playing 4 on 5. ;)

gman, what do you think about:
Louisville -15
Troy St. +12

Just an opinion or what you would play.

Thanks

great call on Utah, thought for sure it'd goto OT and we'd lose the 2nd half play...
