* utc wins this game in my opinion. georgia southern got off to a blazing start up 27-8 at one point. utc has come all the way back to get it to 41-40 at halftime. normally i would be worried about the team coming back having blown their load trying to claw their way back in the game. but champion sat almost the entire first half with foul trouble (2 pfs) and utc made the run without him. the complete the comeback

*tight game, should stay close throughout the 2h and be a half-court game

*its very rare to shoot 48% against that usu defense like idaho did in the 1h. and the vandals knocked down 6 of 9 from 3pt range. those numbers dont seem all that impressive- but against utah states defense- thats pretty rare

usu turns the defense up and this 2h goes under.
then again........the butler game was supposed to go under

4-1 night when it was all said and done, but still seething over that butler game (26-20 halftime) getting over the total. not trying to be one of those idiots that complain about winning- but damn it if that last 5:00 scoring explosion in butler didnt kill an easy under.

the number does seem a little low. i figured low 130s would make more sense. detroit/loyola met in this round of the horizon tourney last year and they played a track meet (90something- 80something). by and large though, detroit really likes to slow the tempo in tourney games though (similar to butler). im expecting this one to be like 69-64 or thereabouts. one caveat though: detroits defense has been amazing lately. theyve let up more than 60 points just once in their last NINE game. pretty impressive.
