who's ready for a night of really bad basketball? maac fever... catch it.
manhattan (+12) 2 units. god help me. manhattan is so very, very bad. but this siena team has no business laying 12 to anybody. manhattan is 4-0 ATS on the conference road, and they've covered at least 5 straight road games overall this year. siena's homecourt advantage is... well, they have none. that arena will be fairly empty tonight. 1/3 is the last home game siena covered, and that was as a dog. it was 2010 the last time siena covered as a favorite. strange thing happened to siena... for a long time now, they hired very promising younger coaches, and they had a lot of success. each coach would soon move on to bigger and better things, but they kept hiring good coaches. but for some odd reason, after losing fran mccafferty to iowa, they decided to hire a retread maac coach. and they're having a huge drop-off this year.
iona (+3) 1 unit. wow, fairfield looks WAY too easy, don't they? iona has lost 3 straight SU and 4 straight ATS. and yet the line has dropped half a point. hmmmm....
