I am going to be adding another play this evening...

Not going to update all records until tomorrow when this round is over, but here is my YTD as of right now:

62-40-3

Yesterday update: 1-2. LSU came through for everyone on the board... proving once again that we are smart and the public is stupid. :mj07:
I am up a bucket short on the UCLA game, as they decided to not turn it on until there was little time left... :com:

Today's plays:

Boston College +2.5 (Vil.), -102, 102/100
---- This is a play I am adding for today. Wanted to wait from a couple of days ago to see if I could get another point to work with, but it didn't turn out that way.
My sister and cousin will be at this game in Minneapolis, as my cousin attends BC and flew in for the game... I told her I thought BC was going to win outright and she said I was an idiot... so I guess the campus doesn't believe in this team very much... :mj07:
I simply think BC will be much, much too physical for Villanova tonight. They will be playing for their season and will come out and duke it out with the Cats.
If Nova gets hot during this game, I will throw out the ticket... but I think BC can take them out of their offense just enough to stick around and pull it out in the end.
------

I just copy-pasted these ones from my thread yesterday... I placed these wagers Wednesday evening, and thankfully, got good value on both, as GM-3 is now +101, and Georgetown+3 is now -112.

George Mason -3 (WSU), +109, 100/109
---- I love the fact that one of these teams will be in the Elite 8. Crazy.
I'm going with GM. Both of these teams are very well coached, but GM seems to have that inate ability to bring out the worst in their opponents. I don't know if it is coaching, experiance, or what.
Wichita St., for all of the Cinderella talk, has had an INCREDIBLY EASY jaunt into the sweet 16. You don't hear anyone talk about this, but they played a sputtering Seton Hall team in the first round that didn't deserve to make the field, and then beat the second most overrated team in the field (thanks Ohio St.!), also sputtering.
Now they have to face a team that is playing its best basketball of the season and who knows that if it wins one more game, it will go down as one of the all-time Cinderella teams in NCAA history.
I also liked how the opening line had GM favored. I dont have a stat here, but when lower seeds open (or close for that matter) as favorites, their ATS number has to be very, very good (this is off memory... dont quote me... does anyone have these numbers?).

Georgetown +3 (Fla.), -105, 105/100
--- Why?
Just a feeling in this one. I think the media is jumping all over Florida, saying they are going to make the Final 4, slobbing Noah's knob, etc., and no one is paying attention to the Hoyas.
This is a team that plays the game right and forces their opponents to play against their strengths. They completely took OSU out of their game, and essentially dismantled them piece-by-piece. The frustration was evident.
This Florida team is very inexperianced, and I don't think they will take it well if things start to go poorly. I don't expect them to implode like OSU, but I expect a close game here. I had the Hoyas in the Elite 8 in my bracket, and I see no reason to change my opinion now.

As for the UConn game... I tend to think UW doesn't have the guns to stick with them, but this line seems suspiciously low. I am just going to stay out of this one...

GL tonight guys! Will be out drinking all night tonight... :sadwave:

So. Cal
gl to you jayhawk, i love gtown, i love uconn, and i love gmason
Dont agree with your analysis of BC, just because nova already beat the most physical team in ncaa with Uconn and then when they played them again hung with them to the last couple minutes and it was uconn threes that killed em.
Cant say i am on nova though so obviously i dont disagree with you that much.
GL tonight

BLG...

To answer your question... in the post-season it becomes a differant game. Every possession becomes that much bigger, and that favors a more physical team..
Villanova is a good team, and an incredible regular season team, because they play such a differant brand of basketball. And Wright gets his guys to play tough D because he gives them freedom on the offensive side... But when the game turns into a possession-by-possession slugfest, how will they respond? Will Foye and Ray take it hard to the bucket, or will they be settling for jump shots? I think after they get knocked down a couple of times, we will know the answer.
Skinner scares me though.. don't trust that guy at all.
I don't think BC runs away with this one by any means. Just think they hang around and pull it out at the end...
