Hi everyone - hope everyone had a nice Xmas - I know mine was nice as usual w/ the family - always the most important thing in my life (as it should be for everyone). Looking to keep a nice bowl season going - last played Boise which came in for a cover.
Going with a Dog/Under play tonight. I've seen this total go from 62 to 70 now and I locked in under 70. That's an extra 2 scores from the opener - if you take advantage of this over and over and over again, it really adds ups. 38-31 means the under comes in - as well as the dog...Florida Atlantic now a +7.5 point dog - waited for that extra hook and got it off the 7...CM defense I think will have problem holding a lead - in fact I have this as a fairly even matchup tonight - so I'm taking those extra points, as well as the under 70.
It's easy to call for a shootout in this game - and those who hit the over at 62 I can see the argument for that, i no longer can at the 70 number...offensively FAU avg about 25, while CMU 30 a game...won't be surprised if this one finishes in the high 50's...i'll force both offenses to turn this into a shootout...what people fail to forget is the defenses actaully will be trying to stop each other out there...bowl game on the line, I think it's enough to keep this scoring under the total...I'll force these teams to have 10 tds and another score...if one of these offenses struggle even a tad, going to be tougher to get that over...the time to play overs is when you sniff out a shootout when the totals are int the high 40's, low 50's...just not much margin for error when it's 70...
I also believe FAU can win this straight up - or cover late if they need to...
