alright, i've finally seen enough where i gotta throw a unit on this game.
nevada (+6.5) 1 unit. start with the basics... 61% on hawaii, but the line is dropping off of 7? even seeing a lot of 6's now. home dog in a nationally televised game (even if it does start at 11:00 here in the east). nevada can put up enough points with the pistol offense to score with hawaii if necessary, but they also have the running game to keep hawaii's offense off the field. wolfpack feel like they have some unfinished business, after a 4th quarter comeback last year at hawaii got them within 7. they got a turnover at the hawaii 3 with 2:30 to go, but couldn't punch it in. nevada won this game 2 years ago at home. as difficult as it may be to believe a team overlooking a nationally televised game, hawaii will be looking ahead to their huge game one week from tonight, against boise.
wolfpack's biggest weakness is their run defense. it's godawful bad, giving up 5 yds/rush. but hawaii won't exploit that, as they have the fewest rush attempts in the country. nevada's pass defense is #11 in the country, but they don't intercept many passes (5 all year).
