Washington St is still reeling from the Marcus Moore injury and are basically shootin to just win a game in the pac-10 this year. I am sure they love it to be on the road vsWashingoton, especially to a team in Washington who is coming off a vicotory in their last home gameover Stanford who just knocked off Arizona. Washington isnot playing well at home agaisnt bad teams I like Washington St here +10.5... also here is a look at WSU on the road this year and UW at home

Mr Gold,

I looked at this game and have numbers that favored WSU, but what about the inhjury situation? Didnt WSU lose their star player last week for the season, I may be wrong but I believe he was their top scorer and bounder.

yes indeed they did lose the number 1 player on the team in Marcus Moore who was everything to that team.. the junior guard averaged almost 20 points per game and it showed in the Ore State blowout loss. However the team showed me they could still compete when they were beating a top 25 team in ORegon, albeit a ery overrated Oregon team in the second half and lost by 10 without Moore.
WSU has to look for help from senior guard Jerry Mcnair to take over for Moore. Mcnair is one of those guys if given the oppurtunity can shine, he is southern california guy, South Torrance High shcool and he is averaging just 6 poitns a game... but dont be fooled he is due to break out... The number one guy now is Thomas Kelati for WSU. Jerry Mcnair had 12 agasint Oregon.. These guys are playing for their coach.... they are beaten to death with injuries... and Washington may think this is an easy win just like theythought that about Eastern Washington and Montana State... and WSU even without 4 of there opening day starters.,, are still better than those teams.. It was evident by the Oregon game where they showed me tremendous poise and enough tenacious defense to give the Ducks a run for their money...
I think 10 point is a lot for a team like UW to be laying.. especially with a team so unfamiliar wth each other. If Doug Wrenn can be contained than WSU not only may cover but could pull a shocker... if Wrenn gets his usual and others step up.. WSU may struggle... most likely wont happen

Totally agree, Bgold. I have the dis-pleasure of watching this sorry Huskies team on a regular basis and IMO there is NO WAY you can justify them laying 10.5 or 11 over just about ANYBODY in the nation!!

As you pointed out, Washington has had some terrible home losses this year, most notably against Montana State. So despite the fact that the Cougs are a bit banged up and missing their leading scorer, I think this rivalry game is decided in about the 5-7 point range and may very well come right down to the wire. I think taking the points is the right way to go in this one. Good luck!!
