Texas @ Oklahoma State - Well the Pokes had a nice backdoor cover at Iowa State. They were getting rolled and then went on a huge run and covered for a rare change as a large dog after being down about 20 at one point. The Horns are coming off a thorough beatdown by KU losing 86-56 at home and need to rebound as this game is HUGE for them. I think playing Oklahoma State when their fans have mailed in this horrible season on a Friday night is probably a good thing and Texas comes out pissed and wins by at least 5 points in a game they need and they can be the #4 seed in Big 12 tourney with a win and a loss by either Baylor or Iowa State, but with a loss... they're likely the #6 seed in Big 12 tourney.
Texas -3.5 (-120) for 5* & Texas 73-64 final score prediction

Kent State @ Akron - Recall when Kent State as a home dog against Zips a couple weeks ago beat them easily. Wow have these teams played opposite since then... Akron has been on fire and Kent State has been terrible. Now, the dog has done well in this series, but I think the Zips come ready for revenge and beat these guys by double digits. Forsythe could be out for the Zips, but he's not the end of the world as he's a nice big man and not the team. Akron has also covered 75% vs spread at home.
Akron -9 for 5* & Akron 82-69... could be a beatdown if Akron starts hot! However, 13 points is still a beatdown

Ball State @ Northern Illinois - The one thing I know about NIU is they play well at home. The other thing is they also have revenge on their mind after losing to Ball State by 4 earlier this season at Ball State. I also know NIU could have an injury, but think they overcome any injuries. NIU has been a monster at home and think they win by at leas the 2.5 points. Northern Illinois -2.5 for 5* and prediction is NIU 69-62

Any predictions are pure guesses and my wagering is also questionable, but just capped tomorrow and figure I would post. Been really up and down with hoops overall, but a little more positive than negative.

Just for your knowledge, Forsythe will be out for the rest of Akron's season. He's scheduled for surgery soon. Where they will miss him is on the defensive end because he's good on the glass and he gave them the luxury of being able to foul at will to stop easy hoops. Akron's other big, Johnson, is a much better offensive player. Akron is as good as their 3 point shooting. When they are dropping they can trounce anybody in the conference. When they are not dropping they are very beatable.
