Geez, this forum is really dying a slow death for quite awhile :(
I'll give it go today since it's a Philly Phriday wacin day which doesn't happen that often.

Not going to do much with the writeups; I don't know if it'll interest anyboday anyways..

Race 2: Like no. 4 in here, tries 4/3,6/3,6 and zackta box, 3-4, AND no. 6 (10-1) Win/Place.

Race 5: This is the race you wanna hit today.
Don't care much for the jockey on my pick, but on the turf I'll take my chances with him. No. 3 top/bot 2,8,9,12; Win/Place nos. 3 and 5. Tough to post picks for a race like this so early. Dry/wet, turf/dirt ? Scwactches?... highly probably at this track as usual.

Race 6: If ya didn't hit the 5th then this is the race you wanna hit. :)
No. 1 is a nice RACEhorse . He will through in a clunker once in a while, but this one is usually very consistent. No. 1 top/bot 2,3,7,9 AND no. 7 (10-1) Win/Place side action.

G.L.

As usual, great to see two reliable members who are into this game/sport... Hogman and Hamster. Writing to fans who really understand what this is all about makes posting worthwhile. It's about onlline friendships among members who have the same interests. This thread has less VIEWS than I usually get but that doesn't matter to me in the least; wish it had 5 VIEWS and 4 replies. If I'm posting this stuff to 200 robots who appear to have little or no interest - that just ain't what I was hoping for. NOBODY would believe the amount of time and effort I've put into this game, NOBODY. Today, a Peeper stopping by to acknowledge something, WIN or LOSE, is just the kind of thing that gives me reason to post.

Thank you for stopping in DB. Not only does that keep me going but I'm sure others who used to post something will prob. be encouraged to come back here and get this forum going again.

Results for today
Only scwatch money got returned for the first two playable races. But that 6th race really hurt; not too much losing $ wise but on principle.
I've been very busy lately and haven't been able to catch any race LIVE. That really costed me (lost a race I should have won). I was soo confident that they would bet down the no.1 hoss, Acopandproudofit, and that is why I just tried to find exacta mates for it. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS.... I cannot believe they let that horse go off at 9/2. FLUCK!

And here's what adds some acid to the "wound" - I already wrote in here about my vacation from racing about a month age when my bets were going sour. I did some HEAVY DUTY research cause I keep good records and I'm good with stats., like I wrote, the final analysis said that I was wasting my time with this hoss wacin thang. I think statistics may not be right ALL THE TIME though :)

BUT, when I asked it about HOW I betem, it told me that I should NOT try picking exacta mates with my key horse and just wheel the bastage on top, only .. OR top n bottom. Dang statisical analysis was right about Friday's 6th race. Fact is, I did follow it's advice for selected races and it DID payoff. But, IF I did it for ALL my picks in each of their races, it woulda put my bankaroo at a BIG risk and I just won't do that.

I do put the posted picks in for real when I post here. I don't know how I would have bet him at 9/2, but i DO know that I woulda come out of that race a wiener. Note that I even commented on that "RACEhorse" when I posted that race.

No fun watching the replay of that race and not collecting a cent and that ain't the first time that happened. It happens a lot to all horseplayers. :(

PEEPERs/Robots - if you read this stuff for entertainment, do stop by the tennis (it's in the Off the Wall forum) place. Funny stuff going on in there and I did pick my biggest ever tennis winning pick (single play pick that is, I did hit tennis for more with props. in the past, but not a crazy, long-shot in a straight, single side play which I rarely do). You may get a kick at all the little bosses in that place, I do.

I'll start a new thread for the rest of this week's Philly dirt bombs; think I just wore this one out. LOL

happy friday jimmy

hope you had a few cold ones for america.

land of the free, thanks to the brave.

Good to know that YOU know what this holiday is all about, HM. No doubt, there are millions who think "The 4th of July" is just another name for "Firecwacker's Day". UGH!

Although, one of the bestest 4th's I ever celebrated was just by co-incidence. I didn't even realize it was the 4th of July. It happened on a flight that me and the Mrs. were on returning home from a little Vegas vacation. It was heading to N.Y. and at night and over most of the major cities across the country I watched the fireworks from ABOVE them... that was cool with a cold one in my hand too.

Love your replies, DB.

Now, we gotta get this ship straightened out so we can accomplish our objectives around here which is.- "GETTIN DAT CASH", DAMNIT!

Might as well wrap up today's wheel spinning efforts....

Overview
Started off much like yesterday with that 1st race exacta. Sure enough exacta result was - the BIG fav. (1 to 5 with the longest odds on the board, 29-1) Sorry, it was too late for me to post the 2 LOOKERs in that, nos. 1 and 7 but they were listed in the plicks, were the cleanest looking nags in the prerace amongst them dirt bombs on the track for the 1st race. But, even, with a $2 dollar ticket, the ROI (return on "investment") on that race saved the day from a major downfall on today's picks.

7th race: no. 1 took off from the gate like a lot of the plicks do... and drops the ole anchor later in the race... like a lot of the losing plicks do as well. I've had long stretches where that trend continued and hope that this one ends real soon so we can start adding some weight to the bankaroo.

9th race: AGAIN, my old method woulda worked again. That is, "whenever I have exactly 2 top picks (that woulda been the nos. 6 and 8 for this race) I need to wheel one top/bot and play the other with enough W/PL or W/Pl/Sh straight bets.
I was able to do that in the past after a hitting a Philly Tote Buster, but staying within my limits when things are going so/so is the sane thing to do for now.

Added a little pizazz in the "Wrap Up" forya, DB.

Keep on truckin.
