Miami Ohio (-) over Central Florida

The Redhawks continued their terrific season last week as they jumped way up on Ohio U and cruised to an easy victory. Miami now stands at 10-1 on the season, winning 10 straight games after dropping an opening week game at Iowa. Terry Hoeppner's crew is moving up in the rankings and they know a stumble here against Central Florida would be extremely costly. They not only need to win, but win convincingly. After allowing the Bobcats to make it respectable last week, you can be assured that Miami will keep the pedal to the metal. It also helps to be facing a second straight opponent who primarily runs the football. Ohio U rarely takes to the air and Central Florida simply doesn't have that ability. The last two games the Golden Knights have managed just 46 and 59 yards passing. In fact, 4 of the last 7 games Central Florida has passed for 104 yards or less. Ryan Schneider entered his senior year as the starting quarterback. He produced 3770 yards of passing last year for the Golden Knights. Because of injuries and a suspension he is no longer behind center. Without him in the lineup, Central Florida is a one dimensional team. The Golden Knights entered this season with a legitimate chance for the conference crown. Now they are looking to end their worst season in years. They already lost promising coach Mike Kruczek who was fired earlier, now they are just going through the motions.
