Charleston minus over Rider **
Both front lines are about the same with an edge to Char.But Char also has some G/F at 6'5 that will cause some matchup problems for Rider.Plus the best player tonite is Chars 5'11 gd Draper.He's avg 18 pts a game.Rider has Mouton at gd and then there is a big drop off.Charles with its juco transfers are a better scoring team and are quicker.Rider on the rd has had some problems despite playing good teams.This is a home game for Charles.It's there tourney.They are 21-1 in there own touney but..the only team to beat them was Rider in '97.But not tonite..
Vir Tech plus over ODU **
Love there defense and Collins is tough.Think they give ODU problems and play them even.
UAB minus over So Fl **
After watching UAB play Ok St even if they drop down a little on the rd there pressing and contesting is relentless.So Fl cannot stay with them for 40 minuts.
LaSalle minus over Hofstra **
Tougest game to capp.Hof plays 3 gds and all are outstanding.Hof biggest weakness is when they play teams with good inside post players.Loughton killed them when they got blown away by ODU.Well Smith plays the F/C position and is one of the top 2 or 3 players in the A-10.He can dominate inside avg 21 pts and 9 bds.LAS has 2 gds that both avg 11 and 12 pts.Johnson,St John,and Johnson can hit the bds.Hof has Uter who is there only true rebounder.Think Hof is in trouble tonite.Close game with Smith taking over in the last 5-10 minuts.
Utah St minus over Binghamton *
Just a payback game to get one lousy * [box] back after last nites great capping job.Idaho St scored 8 baskets in each half. Bing had players missing,others playing with masks,etc. But they played great defense.
Terrible job on my part.
Did win 3 with Texas Tech,UNLV and Wash.Lost with Davidson.But the big loss was Idaho..I;ll get back one box tonite..Might take me a year to get even but...
