Armed Forces Bowl

under (53.5) 3 units. maybe this one is too easy, but I just don't see a lot of points in this game. two decent defenses and two offensively challenged teams. pitt depends on conner, and Houston has been very solid against the run this year, allowing 3.5 yards/carry.

strong lean towards Houston, too, as they have covered 9 of their last 10 as a dog and pitt was 1-6 ATS this year as a fav, including 4 SU losses.

so... I think this has already been covered extensively but, wow, what a fucking 4th quarter in the armed forces bowl. just sick.

Alamo Bowl

Kansas st (-1) 3 units. this line has really swung back and forth. I'm ignoring it. it's just noise. I think this one is very simple. k st is a very sound football team with one of the best coaches in the country. and they're playing against a very talented but inconsistent team tonight.

biggest concern is that k st has covered one of their last 8 bowl games.

Washington (-7) 1 unit. nobody should bet this terrible game. 'cept for us degenerates. two teams coming off really mediocre seasons. let's break 'em down quick...

ok st lost 5 straight before the season-ending shocker over ok. until that game, here's the teams ok st beat this year:

Missouri (sorry, Missouri STATE)
UTSA
texas tech
iowa st
Kansas

for those not familiar with Missouri state... they went 4-8 and 1-7 in the MVFC.

and the close loss to fsu to open the season may have seemed pretty good at the time. until we realized EVERYBODY EXCEPT WAKE FOREST was going to play fsu close.

anyway, not a bowl participant in the bunch (you know, except for ok. and they didn't really participate in their bowl game.)

I suppose if you count Illinois, they technically beat one bowl team.

ok, we've established these are two crappy teams. but the only time glimmer I see when I look for a reason to bet this game.... beating ok was ok st's bowl game. they probably spent the last 4 weeks getting hummers from cheerleaders and associate professors when they should have been watching game tapes.

that's enough for a small wager. at least for this degenerate.
