Heading out for a couple of hours, need a break. Been breaking down this game to long.

The luxury of playoff games is being afforded lots of time to examine each game thoroughly. Normally, that is a plus with any solid handicapper.

I have some pretty strong opinions, but would like to ask the forum to contribute. Bluntly put, feel Schilling must go 8 innings tonight to play ARZ. That's the key to any wager tonight for me.

Have at it and thanks for all comments.

I'm not sure if Schilling will go 8, but he definately stikes me as a trooper of Pedro caliber. If anyone can do it, he can. I see this series as a see-saw series, with each winning the game their predicted to win. Tomorrow Atlanta gets Albie to beat and avoid going down 3-1. If Schilling does not go the distance, I think Ariz bp will get the job done tonight, provided they get an early lead, which I believe they will. Lean to game going under as well.

Hope we 'side' up somehow, as seeing us 'align' definately gives me a more solid feeling for the play. Keep Kicking Ass wolfman

agree strongly, that's why I played Schilling to go 7-180 over. Also played Burkett to go 6 1/2 innings under -130. Schilling is a bulldog and I'm backing that he can go minimum 8 and carry Arizona to a win. I think overall St. Louis is a much better hitting club than Atlanta and Schilling held them down nicely twice. Because of his percentage of pitches for strikes although he pitched 2 complete games his total pitch count was not overwhelmingly high. Because of this combined with his intensity he should be able to go at least 8. Remember Atlanta has not been pounding the ball, they got a Houston bullpen melt down in game 1 with Michael Jackson & Billy Wagner. The also got to Mike Morgan ,Swindell, and Bobby Witt (who I played high school ball with) in inning 8 of game 2. These 3 together work 1 inning yielding 5 earned runs on 6 hits. Kim actually pitched a solid 9th. I think Schilling gets it done tonight.
Good luck

Really appreciate your feedback and support:

Ray, Phoenix, Shamrock.

Tonight's total bothers me some, for one reason only. Schilling has pitched 42 innings over his last 5 games.

Can he sustain his outstanding post season run? When looking at innings pitched, one would sure question his ability to keep up with this trend.

Kind of wore myself out capping every angle of this game. My notes favor Atlanta tonight, keying on Atlanta's batting averages over the last ten, and other factors not worth elaborating on, as I will pass on the side.

I'll quit this boring thread with:

ARZ/ATL under 7.5 4 units

gl!

I knew you would figure it out. Good call. Looked to me like Atl quit when Schilling got on second. The rest of that inning looked like the keystone kops. Atl would have normally been a pass for me too but right now, I'm playing everything the way I see it. Good luck tomarrow

kc, appreciate your work.

i imagine you feel as fortunate as I do that last night went under the total, as 5-1 in the middle of the 5th normally does not bode well for under 7.5 :)
