2-1 yesterday, +1.0 units. Fortunate to have that as the Dodgers blow a 4 run lead in the bottom of the 9th. On days when I take a bad beat I try and remember these games when I benefit to remind me breaks tend to even out over the course of the year. Been pretty consistent all week at grinding out a profit so hope it continues. Totals are 127-107/ +11.07 units.
Minnesota -169 over KC Pinnacle
So much difference in how these guys are playing I must demonstrate it.
LAST 10 GAMES OVERALL:
Minnesota 8-2
KC 1-9
BATTING AVERAGE:
Minnesota - .293
KC - .219
ERA:
Minnesota 2.97
KC - 6.96
Get the picture. Oh yeah the bullpen has stunk too for KC. While the Royals are firming up their cruise itinerary the Twins are still steaming about talk of them being disbanded. In all of sports (especially when greedy million-aires are involved) nothing is more dangerous than a team that is playing inspired football. Look at the NFL the year the Ravens won it. They had an angry Ray Lewis on a mission taking everyone's head off, and an unrespected QB who was out to show the world he could play. And win. And he did. Before I get too far off track though people outside of the Twin Cities may not be aware of it but there is a deep resentment towards baseball right now in Minnesota. The team and the city have come together and adopted a "we'll show the world" attitude. Now all this doesn't mean you play the Twins every night nor does it mean they will go all the way and sweep Arizona, but it does mean they are motivated to win. Shortages in this team will prevent that but at this level a hungry bunch is a dangerous bunch since if you are here at this level you have talent. To look closer at this particular game the Twins are destroying righthanded pitching. For the year they hit .292 against it, at home they are hitting .304, and .317 in their last 10 against righties! Good luck Mr Suppan. For the other side the White Sox are hitting a mere .214 in their last 10 against righthanders. Also needs to be mentioned that Reed is 3-0 in his last 3 starts while Suppan is a meager 1-2 and just trying to hold on. KC is 3-19 in their last 22 on the road and the Twins have beaten the Royals 15 of their last 19 times and are 12-2 in their last 14 games overall. As I said the Twins are on a mission, the Royals are off to Cancun Mexico. 'Nuff said.
