-These two teams are the top two teams in the Conference USA. Palmer is a good QB. Two weeks ago he went 15 for 26 and connected for 3 TD'S. Doesn't really rack up the yardage, so if he hits his marks the Miners will be tough to beat. The Miners have one of the best rushing Defense in the NCAA, (the held MNSU to (-17) rushing yards in their game). Senior linebacker Thomas Howard, who was placed on the Watch List for the Butkus Award this season, was named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week after he came in second on the team with 10 tackles, making two TFLs, one sack, an interception, a fumble recovery and two pass breakups in the decision over NMSU. The Cougars are going to be forced to throw the ball, hopefully with a few errors.
