Old system final season record: 328-314 +23.81 units.

New system started 7/6, posting no more than 5 selections.

Thursday 2-2 +1.5

Season under new system 12-10 +9.45

Think I have plenty of time today to research and make best selections: however, stuff happens.

Per Tigers request. I usually do not have time for write-ups but today I am slumming, so....

Thursday's selections:
Twinns X5 -140
A?s X2 ?135
D'Rays x2 +140
Pirates X2 -135
Angels X2 +155

Twinns X5 -140
Playing great ball. I was so pissed last night because I did not get home in time to make this bet. Today may be even better because the Crew wrecked their pen last night. Radke is far superior to Levrault and though Brewers BP has certainly improved, the Twinns are just too much for the Brew Crew. Also Twinns are a decent road tam and actually hit righties better than lefties. At -140 I think this is a steal

A?s X2 ?135
Oakland is looking and needing to sweep LA to put themselves in a possible wildcard race. They need to get off to a good start in the 2nd half. Hudson is only slightly better than Parks but Oakland?s bats are waking up. Very tempted to play the Run line as well in hopes of getting to the LA BP which is bad.

D'Rays x2 +140
Taking a chance on this game. The blisters on Kennedy?s pitching hand bother me and the Ray?s BP stinks. On the positive side, Montreal?s BP smells almost as bad and they have no home field advantage: they play as poorly at home as on the road. TB can score some runs and if McGriff plays +140 is a good bargain. Kennedy is the key. If he pitches it is a done deal.

Pirates X2 -135
Pirates play much better at home (actually over 500) and KC sucks on the road even more than they do at home winning only 15 of 43. Ritchie is by far the better pitcher and is going great the last three outings. Both pens are bad and KC probably has the edge. Considering the home advantage and the matchups, it is one of the few times the Pirates really command the favorites position.

Angels X2 +155
The D?Backs are in a free-fall and though Schilling is a class or two above Valdes, the Angels are playing decent ball. Considering the way the two teams are going, and that Shilling gives up a lot of HRs., I am will to take the Angels at home with the line of +155.

Bill,

Pittsburgh may end up coming in for you but be careful there. Ritchie was actually shelled last time out, giving up a season high 12 hits. Durbin is KC's best pitcher and though he gave up at least 5 runs in each of his last two outings, he gave up just 7 and 6 hits. Before those two he had been great, giving up 2 runs each time out with 6+ innings. KC may not have an overall great pen but Grimsley is a top setup man and Hernandez is tough and the Bucs will see both if KC is ahead late.

Nick, I know that Durbin is tough but think Ritchie is throwing well. Over the long haul he has been pretty solid and should he get any run support (the bucs seem to hit well at home) I think they will win.

Thanks for the info.

I thought Ritchie was going to pull off the no hitter for awhile. He still pitched a gem of a one hitter.
