Love the Lakers -6.5. Here's some reasons:
-Lakers have covered seven of last nine vs. SA
-SA has won ATS only once in last nine road games
-LAL 14-7 ATS at home,14-2 SU home vs. West
-LAL has lost more than two back-to-back ATS once all year, as evidenced by their 6-1 ATS after failing to cover 3 of their last 4 against the spread this season.
-SA 1-9 ATS vs winning teams (60-75%),
-LAL 8-1 ATS off 2 or more consecutive upset losses as a favorite over the last 3 seasons. Also 8-1 ATS as a home favorite of 6.5 to 9 points this season.
Also, visitors are shooting 29.3% from three-pt range against the Lakers, so Steve Smith should be held in check. Bruce Bowen is out, so there is no one to guard Kobe. He has had a couple subpar games and should be ready to break out. Entire team should be angry after bad loss to decimated Nuggets and 2nd half choke against Clipps.
This is somewhat of a statement game for LAL. Hopefully, Parker will not be back for SAN, but I like LAL either way. Robinson always shrivels against Lakers. They whipped SAN without Shaq in the last meeting, which could mean revenge for SAN, but Lakers should be ready to go in this one.
Lakers also have never lost three in a row under the zen master. This is my favorite play of the day.
Good Luck
