under (47.5) 3 units. playing this a little harder than i should, because i don't really love this game. but it's bowl season! anyway, both teams rely on the ground game. ohio needs it to set up the passing game. sd st needs it because they have no passing game. anyway, so how do both teams stop the run? sd st is 4th in the country, only giving up 2.75 yards/rush. pretty damn good. meanwhile, ohio looks good at first glance, as they only give up 136 rushing yards/game, which is 35th in the country. then you see that they allow 4.3 yards/carry, which is 69th in the country. so teams haven't run much against them. well, that's going to change tonight.
oh, for a comparison... the best run defense that ohio faced this year was northern illinois. and the huskies held ohio to 46 yards on 32 carries. if the aztecs come anywhere close to those numbers, they have a great shot at winning this game.
