unc backers which i was lucky to be let out late not much you can say but you had one of the worse bad beats you will ever get in a game.

You know how you wait for those 1 or 2 games a year you really load up on? Well, this was it for me personally. Biggest bet of my life. Tuff beat. I was getting a little burnt out capping, I think after this one it's time for a break.

i got my ass handed to me tonight regardless (didnt have anyone in the fsu game)

but i dont particularly buy that this was a "bad beat". fsu simply wanted the game more, outhustled carolina more, and outfought them.

then carolina was given a second chance with a fresh 5:00......... and did nothing about it.

carolina is probably the most talented team in the acc, but until they make a commitment to defense, this shit is going to continue to happen to them.

saint- not tryin to rub salt (had a bad day myself).

i just think fsu made a sustained comeback over the course of the 2nd half and unc did nothing about it.

wasnt like it was a 9-0 rally in the last 1:00 to backdoor cover.

fsu just outplayed em for the last 15:00

no way carolina should have lost the game. but fsu deserves some credit imo

Nice coaching job, Roy Cornholio Williams. Sports Center talked about him before the game being the first coach to take two different programs to the top of two different conferences. He's got a long way to go. He couldn't hold Coach K's jock (but maybe he'd like to.) He's not even close to being the best coach named Williams in the ACC.

I started to cringe when NC was up 24, I heard Dickie V say that it's good for Roy to let some of his subs get a chance to play. . .and this was in the first half! When the starters came back, they couldn't throw the ball in the ocean. . . and the momentum was gone. And so was the game. :thefinger Roy

a home team getting 4-5 points...only down 14 at half and everyone is saying this is one of the worst beats ever? I couldn't tell you how many times I've had a home team flat out kick my road teams a$$ in the second half of games...I've had road teams up DD getting DD get crushed by 30 points in a second half.....chit happens all of the time....granted it sucks to be on the wrong side of a meltdown...but to act like tonights game was some sort of abberation is ridiculous. What makes this so bad is that NC is a high profile team and everyone was on them. What about yesterdays games? St. Joe up 40....gives up a huge run of points in the final 2 minutes of the game to only win by 25...line was anywhere from 25-26. How about Hofstra....up by 20+ and only wins by 3....giving 4. Or how about delaware...up 20+...giving up a huge late run to towson to win only by 6...giving 7-8? One more...wisky up 17 with 40 seconds to play gives up a couple of 3's...one at the buzzer to win by 11...giving 12.5-13? Those 4 games were from last night alone...so please don't try to rub FSU backers noses in what you perceive to be an amazing turn of events.....really wasn't...just another meltdown by another college team, that's all!! I've been doing this long enough to know that I'll win and lose a lot of games like this. good luck to all the rest of the way!!

mcity,
You did not mention Townson scoring 17 points in the last 62 seconds last night to get under the number by one.

You are right about this happens a lot, but not with the 11th (or whatever they WERE ranked) team in the Nation. The line was fishy from the start, should have been higher.

thanks wolfpacker....

I meant to say drexel who was playing towson....I wrote delaware by accident. yes, drexel gives up 17 points in a minute to chitty a$$ towson to blow the cover. As far as NC being the 11th ranked team in the country, that is exactly the point I was trying to make...this happens all of the time with these "little" schools....what made tonights game so "noticeable" was the fact that we had a high profile and therefore very public team in North Carolina.....proves it can even happen with the blueblood programs. good luck!!:D

holy shit! i'm watching the game as UNC goes up by 20 points or so in the 1st half, thinking to myself "wow, glad i didn't bet FSU like i wanted to." so i watch a 2 hour movie, come back to check the computer for final scores and i thought my eyes were blurred when i saw FSU winning in OT.

that's some crazy shit. it's getting harder to cap high profile games like these. :(
