Fire Captain won his case and sued the cop and was awarded $17,500.00 in damages to be paid by the ignorant asshole that used to get ass raped in high school and now uses his badge for therapy. You know, all cops. Every single one of them can kiss my ass.

I'm pretty sure the cop car already had the traffic blocked, since it was a dash-cam video we were seeing.
There was no need for the fire truck to be in that lane. A four lane highway coming down to two lanes is a traffic nightmare, as any of you already know.

I know there are good people and bad people in every profession but of all the professions, except for lawyers, this is the one that I consistently hear of dastardly shit they do all the time. Shoot innocent people, dogs, rob, steal, embezzle, cheat on their spouses, take bribes. When is the last time you heard of a graphic designer planting drugs on someone. Just saying.
On a side note, I kid around on here a lot and I am sure that if a cop saved my life, I would feel differently. Then their would be one cop I liked at least. I always thought Baretta was cool. Maybe cops should have Cockatoos in their cars instead of another cop. That would help.

Look, 90% of city cops are only high school educated dickscrapes. It's the only job in the world where you can be dumber than a bag of hammers and they still let you walk around with a gun. You know what, this is actually a great post. Your brother is a cop and you pointed out that he is educated and a nice guy, but do you think there has ever been a time where he has abused his authority to any degree? I don't expect you to answer brother because that is not really germane to the subject. What I am getting at is even nice guys get free lunches, hit the siren so they can get through a red light, play a little fuck fuck with some kid just because of his appearance etc... I agree with the statement that "absolute power corrupts absolutely". Human nature tends to push the limits of everything, whether it is the limits of endurance, discovery, and even authority. Maybe he won't take a bribe, but he will accept a free lunch while an off duty nurse or teacher always has to pay for theirs. That is why people think they are assholes. JMO.
