Where it is real F ing COLD
Well earlier today I posted a mechanics question to where I could not get my truck started yesterday,.. They looked at it today and got the thing running. Said they got the fuel pump to work but he said that was the problem.. To fix it would be roughly 600 bucks.. I had the fuel pump replaced a year and a half ago. The guy goes on to tell me the weird thing is that the truck starts every time now and the pump is holding pressure. My buddy who is a mechanic says to just take the truck and go for it.. He said that if it shits the bed again that he has a used one laying at the shop and he wil replace it for 200 with a used one. I am just worried about being stranded somewhere especially when fishing..

Any other mechanic advice on this subject..

even if ya have to drop the tank they are not real hard in a lot of cars and trucks..

gotta have more to go on than it works then it doesn't work..

have ya checked fuel filters..

has vehicle been allowed to run out of gas lately thus pulling sludge and trash from bottom of the fuel tank..

I guess I put that info in another thread.. I should of been more clear.. It is an internal one for a 2005 chevy s S 10. 4.3 Liter.. Do not have the receipt but it only had a one year warranty. My buddy seems to think that if I keep the tank above 1/4 full that it may never have a problem again.. I only use the truck to pull the boat and when a snow storm hits..
