I'm going pretty light this weekend, but one team just jumped up at me...and the more I think about it, the more I am tempted to go with:

Miami +11

These are two teams going in opposite directions. The Fish accepted long ago that this would not be their year...and teams that have been out of it for a LONG time often end up showing a little bit of fight at the end of the string (as opposed to teams who have JUST been eliminated from contention and are still in "dejection mode").

Also...it looks like Todd Heap will not play. Balt's offence pretty much dissolves without him in the lineup. Seeing as the Ravens need a win and a TON of things to go their way, I'm thinking they may already be throwing in the towel. Heap's absense may only further that feeling.

I'm thinking the Fish can keep it close with their D against a team that may be really challenged to punch it into the endzone.

(My main concern - This is Balt's first home game after 2 stinkin' road games...and Balt has beaten some weaker squads at home fairly soundly of late. Still...this just looks like a bit too many pts to cover.) Anyone have any thoughts?

...further to that...

In Miami's last 7 games, they have posted a 3-4 record. Largest loss was by 10 pts (vs red-hot Buff). Stayed within 3 @ Denver, 7 @ Seattle, and 1 @ Arizona. Won a road game @ SF too. Hmmm..... ;)

gm, very good points you bring up, I concur. Here's another reason to like your pick, read this at another forum.

"Ray Lewis, listed all week as questionable with a wrist injury, is now expected to miss Sunday's game. Lewis didn't practice all week and reportedly re-broke his wrist during last week's game"

Thats some mighty big holes to fill for a raven team that has chocked thier season away going 1-4 ats and su thier last 5. I have trouble with the last 2 or 3 weeks every year but I do like this pick and I'll be on it.

dont waste your money. sage rosenfels starts and marty booker is out. the 3rd stringer could not lead a team of blind people let alone score against the baltimore "d". baltimore d will score points off him. can you say hello ed reed.
