haven't has time to post much lately but still follow all my old friends here at mj's. i've got a little extra time this morning, so i thought i'd post up a nice southern conference matchup.

furman+11-: the citadel has been one of the hottest and most improved teams in the country, currently riding a ten game winning streak. furman is a soco cellar-dweller, mired at 6-20 overall and winless on the road for the season. but beyond these obvious line-slanting facts lies the value. this matchup is one of the southern conference's oldest rivalries; tonight's meeting will be the 190th, and the palladins have been the dominant team, both historically and recently. furman has carried 8 of the last 20, 12 of the last 15, and the last 5 at mcalister fieldhouse. one
of the rare furman losses was this year in greenville, where the bulldogs eked out a 3 point overtime victory as a one point underdog. we also get a little bonus from the fact that the palladins have been a bit improved of late, winning 3 of their last 6 and coveriing 9 of their last 10, significant i think since they appear to be catching 3 0r 4 extra points tonight. my kind of setup.
