last year was the first year that i tried future bets & went 1-1...i thought that i would give it another shot...

3*carolina over 9 wins (-105)...

i remember last year there was a lot of hype about carolina going to the superbowl, but injuries sidetracked them from making it the big game....in the very first game they lost both the starting center & starting left tackle for the season. which can help explain delhomme's decreased play.steve smith missed 2 games because of injury & did not play at 100% in many others, jake also missed 3 games, their running back foster missed 2 games, their all pro middle linebacker (morgan) missed 15 games, one of their top d-linemen missed a few games also...& on & on.but they still wound up at 8-8 for the season & played pretty well considering all of the injuries. in 2006 the bears were the only team to force more punts than the panthers...& they had the #7 rated defense in league last year.

this year carolina takes on the 30th toughest schedule in the league..which includes....

non-divisional games against indy(a week after playing in jax.)...,seattle(a week after playing the cards)....,& dallas(a week after playing the eagles)...all at home.....

their road schedule includes games against...

st.louis...,atlanta....,n.o....,arizona(a week after playing at rams)...,tenn.,...green bay ( a week after playing minn.),...jax.(a week after playing the colts),...& tampa bay.

carolina is my pick to make it the superbowl & i see them winning 11-12 games...

good luck.

Here are a couple I like...

Oakland UNDER 5 wins +135
The offense is just horrible. The line gave up 72 sacks, the team had just 7 touchdown passes versus 24 INT's and they have a new QB. Oh wait, where is that new QB?? They have yet to sign Russell and they plan on trotting out Daunte Culpepper. The Raiders get SD and Denver twice, Indy, Jacksonville and Chicago. Ladies and Gentleman, with the first pick in the 2008 draft, the Oakland Raiders select...

Cincinnati UNDER 9 +110
The Bengals play one of the toughest schedules in the NFL this season. They meet five playoff teams from 2006. They also have done little to improve a defense that ranked 30th in the NFL last year. The Bengals surrendered 24 TD passes, worst in the AFC. Things do not seem to have gotten any better as they gave up a whopping 489 yards passing to the Lions in the first preseason game. A great offense doesn't matter much with no defense. This looks like another 8-8 (or worse) year for the tiger stripes.
