The New Jersey Devils will try to gain a measure of revenge tonight when they travel to Raleigh to battle the struggling Carolina Hurricanes, the team that ended their season a year ago.

Last season the Devils became the first victim of the Hurricanes' improbable run to the Stanley Cup finals in a six-game loss.

New Jersey, however, is off to its best start since the 1995-96 campaign when it won its first four games to kick off the season

New Jersey, which has won two straight at RBC Center, is 10-5-2 in the last 17 meetings with the Hurricanes.

once again, NJ kicks me in the nuts as i have NO LUCK with this team!!!!??? carolina wins 3-1
