Russ Martin will be back behind the plate to catch. The Jays are off splitting their series with the Yankees and are one game under .500 and will be looking to pull even for first time this season. Not suggesting a play but just a little info...trips to the West Coast are often hard for Eastern teams, says common wisdom.

Good luck tonite to everyone. :toast:

Sounds like Oakie is the play...:0074

I really don't know enough about Manaea, haven't seen him pitch. Happ could be very good, but he is coming off the DL, so it could go either way. For me, it is too iffy and too close to call, so pass. :0008

The A's and the Jays are both home run hitting teams. The A's lead the league in hrs and also at home. The Jays are no slouches for homers and hitting, that is an impressive lineup. Apparently it is a picture perfect night in Oakland, so good weather for the ball to jump. Some observers think this will be a high scoring series. Happ should have some rust tonite, the Jays are certainly not in any quiet spot tonite. Donaldson is back home. I dunno, but the over 8 looks not bad to me.

I am going with the over 8 (-117) for a unit. Let's get runs! :0002

Good grief! That sparse "crowd" in Oakland is pathetic, unbelievable. It is a sea of empty seats.

Btw...the Jays are almost into one of the worst bullpens in baseball, so maybe a live bet? In any case, there have been 7 runs scored already in the top of the 5th. :00hour
