loop & freeze are unfortunately right on target. With 300,000 troops many very young with no combat experiments accidents will undoubtedly happen. Unfortunately lots of what is happening over there simply cannot be simulated or drilled or practiced. To amass this number of military many "weekend Warriors" had to be summoned. Many of these guys flying simply don't get the hours or experience flying at night in sand storms etc. with live munitions.

Unfortunately age inexperience environment lack of sleep & the sheer power of the technology & weaponry being used will definitely breed accidents. All anyone can do is pray for their safety.

Also as loop correctly stated "fragging" was common in Vietnam. Although I don't believe I have ever seen or heard it being religion based.

To me this is the lowest form of cowardice, hitting your comrades with a granade as they sleep. This cock sucker should be shot & pissed upon in my opinion.

also to add to this subject....

Troops from the 10th Mountain and the 101st(mainly those 2 divisions) went to Kosovo to PREVENT THIS!!! If you support the troops now....I would assume you supported them when they went into Kosovo. Ethnic Cleansing was going on over there....and the US patched that up. Now you want the same over here...

Guys since we went to the volunteer system our average age of soldier has gone up. We dont have a bunch of 18 year olds just draft to fight a war. We have more staying in the service 5 years now then ever before. We spent tons of money last 10 years to upgrade these system for two reasons. 1. To make them more accurate. 2 to make them able to do twice and some times three times what they were able todo in the past. Reason for that. So we did not have to have a huge army of soldiers. This way fewer soldiers are put at risk or needed. We have the best trained military in the world. We need to stop mistakes. Sometimes leadership has to be tougher.
As for this dude. How long has he been in. I heard on fox 10 months. That does not make it correct. I was just wondering if he been there couple years or more. If so how did they miss the change in attitude. Guy almost reminds me of a move I believe called Full Meatal Jacket. Believe thats right. kid kills him self for being tols he was worth less so many time he believe it. To bad this guy could not have done the same just shot him self. This is what im waitng for some one to say. They were to hard on the guy. That would be BS. When going into battle. You can never be harder or tough enough.
