Yes, djv, you're right. But our press has been sucking corporate balls for a long time. Colin Powell is completely bubble wrapped by the media. He is untouched and occasionally politely "quizzed" on the current issues.

Hellah, I too like the concept of what America should've been. But as many know this concept is far from the truth and only hides all the injustice and hypocrisy of this nation. It's important to realize that the ones who created this democracy in the beginning, the founding fathers, were themselves hypocritical.

As someone who has a family line going back to before the Revolutionary War if someone doesn't like it when I am critical then they can kiss my Patrick Henry ass. Our troops would be better used guarding our damn out of control Mexican Border then chasing Afghans or invading Iraq. I personally don't shake at the thought of Saddam. Not even close. On another note, does it not bother anyone that after the last Gulf War over 30% of the troops came back with illnesses, many very serious. We don't know exactly why but here we go into the same area again. I hope they are better protected this time.

We have stated for over a year that we would be going into Iraq. The delay in this battle is to get Bush re-elected or we would have done it already. But I don?t think there is any ill intentions in that decision. Bush needs to get elected so that this war can continue as a change in political party in the White House or Congress will slow down any progress that we have made.. In the State of the Union in 2001, Bush stated quite clearly what our objectives are. It is to remove all terrorist organizations with a global reach. The American people knew at that time that this would be a long and arduous war. And now, a year and a half later, so many have turned against this war on terror. I thought that our country would have more resolve.

40 billion congress gave bush for home land security. So far we got duck tape and plastic. Wow! Meanwhile 1000 cargo containers come into our country everyday through our ports and 7% to 10% of them get inspected. Both borders north and south are wide open. Florida leeks like a sive. So lets spend another 100 billion on Saddam. the guy had nothing to do with 9/11. Iran and Saudi both did. Why the free pass for them. We will get back to protecting the home land when we have more time.
