Ga Southern-Texas St...and a few more in week 7

Geo So. -17.5 over Texas St ****

This is a tough game for the Bobcats...esp. after getting smoked by La 42-27 giving up over 325 yds on the ground..Ga So is a lot like Army running the option..they are ranked 7th in the country in rushing..and like Army this year their qb Werts throws the ball when needed...a lot like Armys Hopkins..maybe they throw it 6 or 7 times a game but they get completed and keeps opposing defenses on edge..Werts has 4-5 passing td's and 8 rushing ones..Ga is 2-0 in the Sun and Tx 0-2...Tx st lost to So Bama 31-41 while Ga beat them 48-13....Eagles got shut down by Clemson a few weeks ago but triple option is working on all cylinders...Tx is having trouble on both sides of the ball...running game is avg but its is defense that will be the problem...no way can they stop Werts, and rb's Fields,Garrett who have 3 td's each...And Ga So is the 2nd ranked defense in the Sun conf..so vs a weak Bobcat offense they should be able to keep the Bobcats from scoring...and of course playing against an option team...you have had no time to prepare for it...lets say its 4-5 days on a short week since the game is tonite....think Eagles win big and control the ball,clock,red zone, end zone and the corny dogs in the stands..after going to about 8 or 9 home Bobcat basketball games last year in San Marcus they do make good corny dogs..but I'm from NY so any corny tastes good anyway..good luck..back in a few days..

Box, agree with the pick, but in today's paper, the Tx. St. coach said he and his team have been working at defending the option since spring training. Short week aside, that doesn't mean they can stop it.
When are you coming to Austin?

dog lover..leaving on Oct 22 for Austin...wife wants to sell house...its so tough.. I love my house..6 bedrooms and 3,000 sq feet..the attic has another 1,500 sq feet..all 10 foot ceilings..3 porches...but we pay $10,000 a year on taxes and another 4-5 thousand on heat,electric,water,etc..for me to be here for 4 months,my wife 2-3 months and my 4 kids for 3 weeks..she is right from a practical standpoint...love my NY falls,summers and springs...but hate the winter..love Austin though...I texted Chip...will look in the Statesmen to see the article..
I saw Withers practiced playing against the option over the summer..you and I know it ain't the same...you could have a bye week and still not be prepared...playing the option is so bad that Littrell the coach of North Texas who has played Army the past 3 years has bought out of their next 4 games vs Army...at his press conference he said we can't play a team like that every year because we have no time to prepare...what a jerk...so North Texas will replace Army on their schedule and play Tex Southern or another weak opponent..that really sucks..

Lunch Pail..will watch #48 but in this option he must be a good blocker..

Army on a roll..bye week..hate giving up that many points on the road but last yr they did beat Rice and Air Force by over a few td's...their offense is so tough to stop...they have 3-4 fullbacks that just aren't able to be stopped..Davidson is there 3rd fullback...Woolfolk and Slomka Holt and then Davidson...but qb Hopkins is their top rusher but now he can add another dimension..he can throw it...then they have Walker the secret slot back weapon..when does Monken let him loose..but Armys defense is what should get noticed...Houston,Buffalo and Oklahoma are avg 48,40 and 40 .. Army D has held them to 21,28 and 13...Jose has lost 5 games to UC Davis,Wash St,Oregon Hawaii and Col St...Army beat Hawaii 28-21 where SJ lost in 5 ot's 44-41...Army after this game could run the table..they have Miami,O next week where I will be in attendance I think,EMU,Air Force,Lafayette and Colgate ....then Navy who Army will destroy...Nites control the ball and clock. Monken the coach has his kids so disciplined...no fumbles or turnovers...clock and power football in your face...I got to see replays of Army's Off line with all newcomers just push all those 4-5 star OU def line men around an open up holes every where...no pass blocking needed..Army's OL dictates the play and attacks...Army doesn't have one player on either side of the ball that could probably start for OU yet lost on overtime 28-21...

NT in last 2 games has been reading their accolades and press clippings...they got beat 2 weeks by La Tech and last week played a terrible UTEP team with a backup qb and just won by a few...Fine is not 100% getting hurt in Tech game...NT which has an avg running game lost their top Rb for the season...NT's defense has always been suspect depending on their offense to outscore their opponents.. think this game is tight with NT wining by just a few pts..
