Agree.How can you really blame Gagne?Went to the well one to many,.I know Francona would never bring Paps back for a 3rd time in a row,never mind 4.
He was doing well(Gagne).Just used once to many times in a row IMO!!

LMFAO, I can blame Gagne because HE CANT USE ROIDS ANYMORE!!!!! This SUCKA$$ saved a million games without a blown save for the Dodgers, night after night after night after night, now he cant save a cat out of a tree with a ladder and a can of tuna fish:142smilie :mj07: Yost only calls on THE SPECIALIZED players he has available and when you expects this BUM to be YOUR GUY, you go to him!!! I understand your point but I think Yost is trying to make Gagne what he was or planning on DEPENDING on him, and if you dont TEST him he'll never know...I am not made, I lost very little on the game but when these specialized players blow games it frustrates me sorta like a field goal kicker missing a clutch field goal to win. I have a made a thread up deticated to closers called the @$#@ YOU_______ because oh so often these specialty players blow it when called upon, when he saves 3 in a row, he did his job....but he DOES deserve credit when doing so. If he has a sloppy arm or tired after throwing for 3 saves, well something is totally wrong there IMO. Either throwing too many pitches to get the save or just flat out outta shape!!!! Good points and good debating by yourself:SIB And agreed Yost and a FEW OTHER MANAGERS DEFINATELY NEED CLASSES AND LESSONS ON PUTTING GAMES AWAY AND NOT OVERTHINKING THE GAME!!!!!
