I heard it's an easy thing and nothing to worry about.

All the best, man. :toast:

I had mine removed six or seven years ago. The surgery I had (laproscopy) was simple for me. Most people aren't even kept in the hospital overnight (in by 6:00 the morning and out by 6:00 at night). I'm not on any special diet except I have to avoid any thing with lard (like wedding cake icing). Actually I've eaten icing and had no consequences. There's really nothing to it. They make three small incisions in the shape of a triangle. Hardly any perceptible scaring afterwards. Just make sure the surgeon knows you're in for gall bladder removal and not something else!!! Good luck.

Iiwould do everything possible to avoid removal. As you know the gallbladder is a sac that receives bile produced from the liver. Your diet will have to be very strict. Your liver will still produce bile but without a gallbladder you are more than likely to have reoccuring problems at least a 40% chance. Get another opinion go see a nutritionist and a dr. that specializes in natural medicine. Did you have your thyroid checked? That has alot to do with digestion and metabolizing of fats. Medical drs are not dealing with underlying cause just a quick fix.

They took mine out back in 1992.

Simple operation, 3 holes, on right thru the belly button. I was sore for about 2 weeks and then fine. It is definitely an out paitent operation.

The only thing about this where they take it out, it can start leaking years later.

The other thing nobody has stated in here and I am being serious. You will never SHIT the same way again. The gall bladder actually has something to do with forming and binding the turd. It is just a big explosion anymore when I take a dump, LOL!:scared

Where it is real F ing COLD
I know 5 people who have had the laproscopic surgery and have had minimal problems and that is when they eat and excess of greesy foods. I didn't get into too much detail or but they denied having any lasting bowel problems.

I agree also. Google "gallbladder flush" and read some of the options. Different methods of doing it, but I bet you will see some positive changes, and feel better too.

I had the surgery done yesterday morning. My gall bladder was twice the normal size. Other that that everything went well. I have been in very little pain, more soreness than anything. So far so good.
