The line is STILL over 3-1??? Waiting for Pinnnacle to throw one up. Somehow Detroit is going to the line more than the Lakers even though Pistons foul Shaq intentionally several times per game, play super aggresive D and have a mediocre offense. Billups goes to the line 3X as much as Kobe. So be it, I like Detroit then

Ill take Detroit for the series if I can get a price anywhere near +300

Thanks. Ive got Pinn and MVP, usually lines are tight enough that there wont be a very big difference. If there is Ill sign up and fund there to.

Im just shocked at that number, with several things that are going on, particularly Malones gimping knee being tweaked, Paytons play at an all time low, interesting way the game is being reffed. At this point I would make the Lakers -150 or so. It will be tough for Detroit to sweep at home, which means they have to finish at Staples...but still, it is pretty obvious they they are capable.

Good luck to you guys.

i just dont see Deet winning more than 2 at home if they do that ... I pray they do, but I'm telling ya, If Larry brown rallies his troops in 48 hours and they get over this bitter loss, he is one damn genius ...

I think they will be ready for Game 3. The players after the game did not sound as crestfallen as I thought they might. They were already in a similar situation with the Nets and bounced back nicely. This is a team with a giant set of nads. The bottom line is the Lakers are ultra lucky to not be down 2-0, and they know that. You tell them ahead of time you split in LA, they take it. They have been in control. I don't really see any adjustments the Lakers can make. They basically need Kobe to go off for them to win it, and that might not be enough. They cannot cover Billups/Hamilton (Kobe can only guard one) and the matchups on Sheed are laughable.

This Laker team reminds me a lot of the 2003 Yankees. Old and broken, but people just won't let go of their preconceived notions. Even worse, they give you just enough glimpses to think they still have it. If anyone was ripe to go down, it's them, right now.

ur right about gp and mailman

legs go at that age and lotsa wear on them -- as the series goes deeper, look for Kobe to take even more shots, one day off between games might end up being biggest factor ever ... look at shaq tonight, only 7 boards, i believe his low or close to it in playoffs

I hedged my Lakers series price by taking piston to win it in 5 +800 and Pistons to win it in 6 +1050, If it goes 7, I like Lakers chances. My ideal would still be Lakers winning it in 6 or less. I am hedging based on Malones knee. It worries me. Lakers have no big men outside of Shaq and Malone.

Yep thanks, took them at +300 a few minutes ago. Dont think its a certainty, just like the number against a shallow bench and hurt Malone, with home court. IF Detroit continues to get 5 to 10 more free throws a game, while Shaq is shooting half for the Lakers, I am convinced Pistons will win.

Anybody who put up some big units on Detroit +800 early, I envy them. They are in the driver's seat and can and ensure a good sized profit no matter what.
