up in a minute... First I gotta gripe about the absolute choking being done by Detroit's bullpen...walks, errors on simple plays, :cursin:!!!!
Consistently f-ing up in the late innings and they played so well vs Yanks and A's, then the long break...
Secondly, being an Angels fan let me say that its great to see David Eckstein come thru in the clutch (all game really) again. That guy has tremendous character... Love him, wish Angels would never have got rid of him... And I do like Pujols, Rolen and if/when they win, congratulations to them all for surviving and playing well enough when it counts the most...
Ok... I did bet Tigers to win it all 20 / 290 and St. Louis 20 / 100 so I'll get a little somethin either way, but I do think the Tigers are the play tonight IF...IF... they can get ahead by more than 1 run by the 6th inning, if its only 1 run lead, their bullpen will choke it and throw it away...again... somehow...
I do believe their manager instills confidence in them (and has gotta be pullin his hair out) to believe they can win tonight and not just roll over like others might... I'm also hopin that Jeff Weaver comes back down to earth and gets hit and Verlander goes back to his normal form and shuts em down for about 7 innings... it is too possible... right???
