I keep pounding the table on Glasnow. Yes, he has better stuff than Kershaw. Yes, he could be the very best pitcher in baseball. Yes, I know the record doesn't show it.
He admitted after game 1 he was off and nerves got to him before the game.
Here is game 5 and I will once again lay my money on him. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment.
If he is dialed in the 1st inning meaning...He is throwing his 100 MPH fastball on the corners and his breaking ball is on and not bouncing feet in front of the plate then it could be his coming-out party.
I've watched every game he has pitched this year. I know him well.
Kershaw was on the ropes in the 1st inning in game 1 and got out of it then got into his groove.
I think the Rays will adjust and Kershaw will regress tonight.
