On the course!
Arizona -155

6' -125

------------------------------------

The DBacks are riding high. Schilling will prove his worth, stamina, and gamesmanship.

The Rocket won't melt, and the Arizona bats won't chase him, but Arizona will score here and there, in one run increments.

They will win in a 6 or 7 run game.

Bullshit! You expect me to believe NONE of you guys are going to take a stab at this one?

Even if it's pizza money?

  • Home team has won every game
  • Arizona has had the biggest outpouring of runs
  • Schilling at home
  • Both teams will use every pitcher on the roster, if need be.

I say Arizona gets the 1 or 2 run lead, and costs from there.

Arizona -140 and the under for 2 units each

REMEMBER GUYS, Clemens emotions get to high for his own good in big games, this is the ultimate big game. He was ripe 4 the taking in game 3, Counsel got on leadoff & promptly got pick off. Then walk & strike out & throw out double play. Point is Clemens was wild & over throwing, with some discipline Arizona easily could have taken advantage. Question in this game is how long Schilling can go. Batista & Anderson should help Arizona bullpen.

Maybe I'm way off my rocker, but I actually LOVE the under tonight, even at 6.5! Yes, it's a low total, but the Yankees have looked basically clueless against Schilling in this series so far and with all the marbles on the line, I think he steps up here as big as ever. NY hitting really nothing special right now and I think they are flat-out OVERMATCHED vs. Schilling. I don't buy for one second the 3-day rest theory, either. Meanwhile, I also see no reason why Clemens won't come up big as well. Arizona did all their scoring in one game and rarely does a team come back and put up big offensive numbers one night after and run-scoring outburst. I expect the hitters to appear a little tighter than the pitchers -- both of whom have a lot of post-season experience -- and to me this game typifies post-season baseball, where we have seen a lot of unders thus far. I think this is your classic 2-1, 3-1 type of game. May even be worth a small half-unit bet on the game going into extra innings, as well, at +600!! Not going to go big on it, but do like Yanks-D backs under 6.5 for 2 units. Good luck all.

I was all over the home team for each game and planned the same for tonight. Then I got to thinking about the possibility that Ariz. bats may come out cold due to the explosiveness last night. Honestly, I didn't understand why they didn't take Johnson out early in the game so that there would still be a possibility of him having the ability to give some pitches tonight if Schilling got into trouble. But then again everytime they've gone to the pen they've gotten burned in the WS games.

So- to either tame or raise my fears I went back into the season to find out if Ariz went cold after having an explosive night. I didn't look at the whole season but those games that I did look at had no trend in which to rely on.

Some of the following days were poor and others were just as good.

So, I'm back to my initial pick-

Arizona!!!! And that's final
