SHOCKER EH?

SHOCKER EH?

A "CANADA MAN" picking Edmonton>>> Take it from a RED_NECK hockey man, you won't win game 7 here in Raleigh. You had a nice run, PRONGER is un-freakin-believable. BUT the Stanley Cup hasn't been won by the visiting team since 1980. There is a reason for that. It's 90F here today, the ice will be choppy, the fans will be even louder than Edmonton last game, (good effort though, and Wade will stand on his head. Too much experience here my friend

I know it will be close, but how can you not take Edmonton with their heart and momentum?
...by the way, did you know Raleigh is the only place you can see a hockey game where the fans have less teeth than the players!

I know it's a longshot based on history, but the only history you need to look at is the way the Oilers have outshot and outplayed the Canes the past two games. Carolina managed only 13 shots on goal in game 6. If you want to talk about experience, look at the coaching staff of the Oilers! Mctavish and the boys have been-there-done-that!! It's that very experience that has allowed the Oilers to figure out this Canes team and shut them down completely! I also know that Doug Weight will play tonight. I think him and Eric Cole have NOTHING to contribute at this time. I see a repeat of Saturday night's game all over again. Being Canadian is the last reason I'm picking the Oilers. The cup will be raised by a Canadian no matter who wins tonight anyway!!!

Enjoy the game. :canada1

for what is worth most of these fans live in homes 300k to 2 million. they also make alot of money. they do not have to ice fish for food. we just drive to whole food's and buy 24.99 lb tuna or seabass. and by the way raleigh is ranked again in the top 10 as to the best place to work and live. get a clue about geography and the region's demographics before you speak. i don't see hundred's of new people trying to move to your city each week.

i can take a joke when it is funny but this ain't mayberry anymore. nonetheless we are far from being a hockey town . i have seen only 25 to 30 cars with hurricane flags on them all day . even if the canes win we will remain a predominately college sports area with pockets of panthers, canes and charlotte pro bball fans. good luck to edmonton. they have alot of heart

Pretty funny and probably mostly true but I think Carolina takes this one. But good luck.

like the OIL here they have momentum and think the canes despite their experience and leadership are a little worn down physically. i think its a tight low scoring game - say 2-1 oilers. gL everyone and enjoy the game!

Hated that this got to be chippy as I thought the teeth comment was pretty funny. Also living here in Raleigh, Wake Forest, the whole paying $24.99 for fish seems a little pricey. Wish we could fish dinner out of the backyard!! It was a great game last night and Edmonton should be proud of an 8 seed, and their great comeback in an earlier series. Great HOCKEY, I am almost sorry it is over!! Props Canada, you did yourself proud, EH :toast: :fit01:
