Nah, they :s6: at the end of Nov around here. There is actually only one deer there.
Its just outside of a town called Glidden Wi. The world record for the largest black bear was taken around Glidden in the 60's. It dressed out at 665lbs. They have it stuffed and on display in town. The town is known as The Black Bear Capitol of the World.

Scott, have read some of the other threads about some of your family issue's. Like me or not I only wish you and your family the best.
Now back to the great outdoors. My Dad lives in Eagle Nest N.M. and has had bears in his yard. He came home from the saloon one night last fall and had a big cinnamon bear in his driveway that did not want to budge so he had to let the bear do his thing until it decided to wander off about 30min later. Lots of wildlife up there. One of the most beautiful places on this planet we call earth.
My Dad drove all the way to Florida last weekend so he could be with me on Fathers day. He trailored his Harley so we could ride together for the first time. It was very special and a weekend and one for the ages.

Ricknjax...I know what you mean about gods country. On clear moonless nights you can see a million stars. On full moon nights its like the sun is out. The best of all though is the beer always tastes better when its being drank in the woods.:mj06:
