Getting close to 4 p.m. so I will make this quick.
-Power play stats for both Dallas and St. Louis are phenomenal recently while penalty killing stats for both have been poor. That is why the Stars have hit 5+ goals in 5 straight and St. Louis has in 7 of 8. St. Louis plays b2b but that is deceiving because yesterday was an afternoon game.
-Both Detroit and Minny have fabulous power play stats in their last 5 and terrible PK stats in their last 5. Detroit is another afternoon b2b. Minny is home off a great roadie w/ 1 day of rest, but not vs. a rested team so a lot of the value in Detroit is sapped.
-For the second time this week Nashville plays Edmonton in a 3 in 4. Last time they lost at home 5-3. Salo has given up 3+ in 5 straight but managed to win 3 of those 5. No way I would lay this kind of chalk with a goaltender on that kind of pooor run of play.
-Washington in a b2b 3 in 4. Vancouver just 2-2-2 vs. Eastern opponents in their last 6 and 1-1 in the two of those that were home games. Washington has not lost 2 straight in over a month.
