I find it quite funny that the self proclaimed King of Dogs is having.....

The Game Of My Life.

And.... the King of Dogs isnt playing a underdog, its a favorite.

And... hes not even laying the points with the favorite.

And... hes playing a favorite moneyline.

At -175 I shouldnt have to tell you the winning percentage needed to produce a profit. Scott, I hope you win. I also hope after winning the Game of Your Life you change your moniker to the King of Favorites or better yet...

The King of Chalk.

I sat and watched the bears play pretty well against the lers. If the bears would of kept running the ball I feel it would of been a much closer game. Nevertheless they got stomped....I like this game and I have a feeling that it may be a trap.

The reason why I think it may be a trap is by looking at Chicago's numbers in December....The new bears are good but when December comes the bears go back into hibernation. Something still tells me if there is any team that Atlanta is outmatched for its the bears....

And, the reason why is beacuse when they come upon a stiff deffense, the dirty birds get into trouble....

Rooting for the bears GL

Who would have seen this one coming? :)

The only thing I'm worried about is Duckett. The Bears pass defense will be fine as they aren't facing a QB this week.

Bobby

You sure are a mindreader. Didnt want to tip my hand so the books would try to screw up my bet.
haha...

The thing about Duckett is the dumb ass Falcons dont play him. They only put him in on short yardage and goal line. They play Dunn up the middle , off tackle, like he is Jerome or something.
I think Dunn has it in his contract for a certain number of carrys. Its been ridulous but happens week after week. And Dunn is a good hard runner against average defenses. But come on Dunn weighs 185 lbs. Up the middle ? No way Dunn goes up the middle much on Chicago defense, and going outside may be impossible.

Several years ago when I picked the Falcons win over Green Bay in the snow, it was differant. GB was ripe for the picking. The Bears are waiting for the Falcons bus to throw snowballs at it.

I played Notre Dame moneyline +400 and came within a whisker of winning over 2 grand. Played Georgia +3 vs Tenn and won that wager. Played
Falcons Moneyline vs Detroit on turkey day and won that wager. Last year won a +1400 moneyline Hawks vs Dallas in NBA.

I just like winning plays. I got a good feeling about this game.

One other thing about the Falcons, when they have 3 games left and there is a chance they can lose the first one and still make the playoffs by winning the next two, they have historically played soft and lost and thinking they still have a chance.

Come on , Tampa Bay and Carolina coming up. I would say the Falcons see the writing on the wall. and running the table is pipe dreams.

Sometimes when the chalk talks, you got to listen.

I dont get the laying an extra 4k for ML over the points. If you are that confident the points wont matter, and 1 and 2 are essentially fluke numbers anyway.

Regardless, good luck.

I am not that confident the Chicago Bears will cover the spread.

I am confident they will somehow win the game.

Lake doubtful for Bears

By STEVE WYCHE
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 12/14/05
FLOWERY BRANCH ?
The Falcons are expected to sign a free agent defensive lineman in the next day or two to replace defensive tackle Antwan Lake, who dislocated a shoulder against the Saints Monday night and is unlikely to play Sunday at Chicago, coach Jim Mora said.

The loss of Lake, injured while sacking quarterback Aaron Brooks in the end zone on a third-quarter safety, further depletes the line, which also was stripped of defensive end Junior Glymph, who was signed by Dallas off the Falcons' practice squad.

"We can't go into a game with six defensive linemen, and that's what we've got," Mora said.

The emerging Lake backed up tackle Chad Lavalais and played roughly half the snaps. Rookie Darrell Shropshire, who has been spelling Rod Coleman at the other defensive tackle, could see action at both interior spots against the Bears.

Jonathan Babineaux, who is expected to start at right end against the Bears for Brady Smith (dislocated toe), could play some at defensive tackle, his natural position. Chauncey Davis provides depth at end, and linebacker Ike Reese could be used there, Mora said.

Chilling forecast for Soldier Field

Temperatures are projected to be 20 degrees or below Sunday night in Chicago but there is no need for the Falcons to go through a climate-acclimation process beforehand, Mora said. The Falcons will practice inside their indoor facility this week, unless the weather is nice enough to work outside, Mora said.

"I'm sure that it will be a nasty day," Mora said about game conditions at Soldier Field. "It's not something that we want to focus on internally. We don't want to be overly concerned with the weather. We just want to be concerned with the Bears, that's enough of an obstacle as it is."
......................................................................

Yeh Coach Mora practice inside where its nice and toasty. The weather in Atlanta today is in the 30s with hard wind. They should be outside all day practicing, not inside... Geezz Louise.

Focus internally ? wtf does that mean. He sounds like Vick sometimes.

Kind of agree here makes a little more sense to just buy it down to 2', either way GL on it I like the Bears as well

got to love the fact that this is the first nationally televised game for the bears this year, and it comes at home.

falcons have had four. three monday nighters and their turkey day game. sure they still like the limelight, but....

haven't checked on the last time the bears have played at home on sunday or monday night, but it's always something special for players and the fans if they haven't in awhile.

good luck scott.

Anyone heard anything on Mike Brown's status?

Injuries

Player Status Injury
C. Benson RB Doubtful Knee
C. Harris S Doubtful Knee
T. Metcalf G Questionable Shoulder
M. Brown S Questionable Calf
..........................................................

Not sure what Browns , questionable status means.
I am thinking 80% he plays.

I really hope he plays of course, but I think the Bears will step up this Sunday and show why they have the #1 defense in the NFL.

The other side of this is , have you seen who the Falcons have playing in their Secondary ? The Bears replacements are twice as good as the Falcons defensive backs. Except for Hall and he likes to eat out the night before with the opposite team members.

thanks van

CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago Bears waived punt returner/wide receiver Bobby Wade on Tuesday, cutting ties with the third-year pro after deciding he fumbled too much on special teams.

Wade averaged 9.7 yards on 33 punt returns, but committed nine fumbles on special teams and 10 in all, losing four. He also caught 10 passes for 80 yards.

A fifth-round draft pick out of Arizona in 2003, Wade has caught 64 passes for 698 yards, carried the ball 17 times for 90 yards and averaged 9.4 yards on 35 punt returns in his career.
..................................................................................

Got to think this was a good move. Not sure who will take his spot. Hope it is someone that can hold on to the damn ball.

We are going to need this guy.

He has been money inside the 40.

The rookie part scares me a little.

Bears may win, but I would never make a large wager eating that much chalk on a moneyline. I'd lay the points instead. JMHO.

Believe me I know what your saying and I thought about it for a long time. Bottom line is that I cannot risk this money and lose by any bs points.

This more than likely will be a low scoring game.

I hope the Bears blow them out but this is the NFL where anything can happen.

If Vick and the Falcons are able to come away from Chicago with a win, I will have to change my thinking about Vicks ability as a top QB. I think I know these Falcons by now. I have seen this same game scenario many times in the past.

We will see come Sunday night.
