Yeah - as I said before I keep reading from columnists, handicappers, etc. that the Cards just can't keep playing the way they have been - i say why not? They are hands down the best team in the NL & the Cubs will not catch them...heck the Cubs are & always will be my favorite team - but when i see them in power ratings still at #3 - i laugh at it because I know that they are just not having a great year & don't think they will down the stretch...the Cubs have been through a lot of injuries & never had that pitching staff together yet - and even when the pitching has been good they are not scoring runs...with the Cards they continue to pitch solid & hit the ball...now there were no excuses for the Cubs not to put them away today...the Cubs needed this one bad - got a 7 run lead and still blew it...I wish they could have won it for all the Cubs backers & for your nice sized wager Livin Large...I wish i could be more optimistic about the Cubs - but i believe they will be a great fade the rest of the season - or at least until they can string together a couple of wins in a row & prove to us they can pitch well & score some runs...so frustrating to be a Cubs fan right now - as they can't seem to capitalize when they have a chance to make a run at the Central lead...
