As one who prefers betting UNDERS in totals, I'd be hard pressed to go under with such a low number like 6.5. Both Mussina and Schilling will be making starts with more than 7 days rest. Each pitcher had one such start this season, when play resumed in September. The results for both weren't good:

MUSSINA 9/21 6 IP 8 hits 5 ER 6 K 1 BB LOSS
SCHILLING 9/18 5 IP 10 H 6 ER 7 K 0 BB LOSS

They'll be plenty of chances to play under when the Series shifts to cold Yankee Stadium

agree -- these long rests present a little different scenario than usual.

not that I'm going to play over, but I'll wait.

Valuist,

Just saw your thread after I posted my play. Wasn't trying to steal your theory. I do agree and feel that makes it a little more unpredictable.

This game is just screaming UNDER to me. I know the rest factor has to be considered but I can't see anything other than a great pitching duel in this one. I'm looking at something like 3-1, 3-2. My only bet on game one may just be the UNDER. Any chance I can get this at 7 before gametime? Didn't think so...

Desert scrub Im thinking you will be lucky to get a 6.5 at game time , Every one and thier brother is on the under . I think this could go as low as 6 by game time. I personaly am all over the over..
